Should any item not meet your expectations, our returns policy reflects the same care and attention to detail that goes into selecting our premium curtains, wall decor, and home accents.

Our Return Promise

We accept returns and exchanges within 15 days of delivery for most items in their original condition – as pristine as when they left our Cambridge warehouse. Please note:

  • Items must be unused, with original tags and packaging intact
  • Personalized or custom-made items (including certain wall decor) cannot be returned
  • Candles are final sale due to safety regulations

Non-Returnable Items

To maintain quality standards, we cannot accept returns for:

  • Yankee Candle products (all scented candles)
  • Custom-sized curtain rods and window coverings
  • Personalized picture frames with engraved details
  • Opened home fragrance products

Simple Returns Process

Returning an item is as straightforward as hanging one of our premium curtain rods:

Step 1: Initiate Your Return

Email our Cambridge team at [email protected] within 15 days of delivery with:

  • Your order number
  • Item(s) you wish to return/exchange
  • Reason for return
  • Whether you prefer refund or exchange

Step 2: Package Your Items

Repackage items securely in original packaging, including all tags and protective materials. For wall clocks and delicate decor, please use sufficient padding.

Step 3: Ship Your Return

We’ll email you a prepaid return label for UK customers. International customers will receive return instructions based on location. Return shipping costs:

  • Refunds: Customer pays return shipping (original shipping fees non-refundable)
  • Exchanges: Free return shipping for defective/wrong items

Step 4: Processing

Allow 3-5 business days for processing after we receive your return. We inspect each item with the same scrutiny we apply to our quality checks.

Refund Details

Your refund will be processed with the same efficiency as our premium delivery service:

  • Timing: 5-10 business days after return approval
  • Method: Original payment method (PayPal, credit card, etc.)
  • Amount: Item cost minus original shipping fees

Exchanges

For exchanges (subject to availability):

  • We’ll ship your new item once the return is received
  • Price differences will be charged/refunded accordingly
  • International customers may need to pay additional shipping

Damaged or Defective Items

If your Umbra hardware or other item arrives damaged, contact us immediately at [email protected] with photos of the damage. We’ll arrange a free replacement or refund.
